Super Chill by Adam Ellis is a gag-filled comic loosely based on the author's real-life experience.
WHAT I LIKE ABOUT THE WORK
Though the art is eye-catching and neat, the writing is quite good - the understated wryness and honesty of the narration and dialogue bring out the best in this book.
DISLIKES
I did not get a few of the jokes. However, that might be due to my own default joke setting.
WHO IS IT FOR
People familiar with Adam's work will love more-of-the-same Super Chill. Newcomers who like reading funny comics strips will fall in love with the work.
Many thanks to Andrews McMeel Publishing for review copy.
